UFC 230 takes place on Saturday, November 3, 2018 in Madison Square Garden in New York, New York.

Heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier (21-1, 1 NC, 10 KOs, 4 SUBs) will defend his title against knockout artist Derrick Lewis (21-5, 18 KOs, 1 SUBs). The card issuers reside on pay-per-view 10pm ET that is starting.
Only one pay-per-view after the Khabib-McGregor superfight, the UFC is giving us a heavyweight title match. Plus it just so happens to feature among UFC 229’s breakout star:”The Dark Beast” himself, Derrick Lewis. It’s 1 matter to score a stunning, last-second comeback win in a battle you’re getting dominated. But Lewis topped that by following it up with the funniest post-fight meeting in UFC history, on the greatest night in UFC history.
That is 1 way of turning into a star. And today, the one-dimensional knockout artist who never really seemed like a valid contender is fighting to get the title under a month after taking a beating in the hands of Alexander Volkov. Daniel Cormier’s probably drooling at the notion of an easy paycheck. It’ll also be his first title defense.
Regardless of the UFC announcing a banger of a scrap between middleweight hulks Yoel Romero and Paulo Costa, the massive Cuban has stated that the fight won’t be happening. Though we really hope this contest happens, we are apt to believe that the fighter when they said that they’re not ready. Let’s hope he heals up in time.
If those 185-pounders don’t get it on, then there are still three crazy great middleweight matchups to look forward to. The largest of them is that a rematch between former winners Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman, respectively rated No. 2 and No. 3. Perennial contender Ronaldo”Jacare” Souza matches former WSOF champ David Branch, together with both guys jockeying to get a name position. The branch’s most fascinating prospect, Israel Adesanya, puts his undefeated record on the line against No. 6 Derek Brunson. Occasionally,”The Last Stylebender” looks like the second coming of a prime Anderson Silva, and everyone is hoping that this dude is for real.

UFC 230 Betting Lines, Predictions and Picks
Here’s a weird story. In an interview with MMAJunkie just days following the Volkov fight, Lewis came out and said that he had no desire to headline UFC 230. That he’d already begun eating breakfast biscuits and also his cardio was nowhere near the level it needed to be in to virtually challenge for the title.
He ended that interview by reluctantly saying that it would take a giant paycheck for him to jump into a title fight with a few of the finest to ever do it. Later that afternoon, Dana White announced that Lewis would be battling for the name. Seems like someone got PAID.
However, the UFC’s greed is showing here. Lewis was almost finished multiple occasions, and it was apparent he could not last five rounds. Now the UFC is putting him onto a card under a month later? That’s known as tapping a celebrity turn. And while we adore how honorable DC is, it sure sounds like he’s cherry picking here.
The last time Weidman and Rockhold fulfilled, the AKA surfer boy cracked the prior All-American wrestler and took the belt from him. Time hasn’t softened the grudge between them both, and it was a close fight until there. Rockhold has been knocked out twice, suggesting that his chin is a serious weakness. Coincidentally, Weidman endured two brutal knockouts also before bouncing back against Kelvin Gastelum.
These two middleweights are good everywhere, although they have different strategies in every phase. Rockhold’s submission grappling is topnotch, but Weidman is a leading classic wrestler. Weidman can box with the best of these, but Luke’s unorthodox kicks can do significant harm.
Ronaldo Souza can’t seem to catch a break. One of the most accomplished BJJ artists to enter the octagon, he’s been in multiple title eliminators, only to fall short in each one. Beating David Branch probably wouldn’t seal the bargain, but he could keep his name on a brief list of worthy challengers. Branch could vault in the title mix by simply taking the well-regarded Brazilian.
Israel Adesanya has everything required to be a star: an engaging character and what’s more, an electrical fighting style. He’s obviously a exceptional striker, landing all of eight limbs with exceptional accuracy and power. Obviously, like all fantastic standup artists, he has to pass on the wrestler evaluation, also Derek Brunson – a former collegiate wrestler – is much more than qualified to dish out that.
